Applying for a CPF Submission Number

All employers need a CPF Submission Number (CSN) to submit their CPF contributions. Learn what a CSN is and how to apply for it.

What’s a CSN?

Your CSN is a unique identifier

The CSN is used by employers to transact with the CPF Board. This includes making CPF payments and making requests relating to employer matters.

A CSN consists of an Unique Entity Number (UEN) or NRIC/FIN (if you’re trading under your own name) and CPF Payment Code.

The CPF Payment Code identifies the type of payment made

The CPF Payment Code in your CSN identifies the different types of payments made by employers to the Board such as mandatory CPF contributions, Voluntary Contributions, and MediSave contributions under the Additional MediSave Contribution Scheme. You’ll need to apply for a different CSN for each type of payment that you’re making.

Applying for CSN if you already have a UEN

If you already have an existing UEN and your authorised users are granted access to 'CPF Services for Employers and Business Partners' e-Service in Corppass portal, they can proceed to apply for a CSN.

You will need to set up the “CPF SERVICES FOR EMPLOYERS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS” e-Service in the Corppass portal and assign your authorised users before they can access CPF e-Services.

Individual trading under your own name

Applying for a CSN

You’re considered to be trading under your own name if you’re an individual hiring Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident employees in your personal capacity and do not require a UEN.

For example, a hawker hiring a hawker assistant, or a person who hires a personal driver, gardener, or domestic worker.

Application for a CSN will be done on our CPF website using your Singpass.

After CSN Application

You may submit your CPF contributions via the following methods:

Submitting Your CPF Contributions via CPF EZPay Mobile

If your CSN application was successfully submitted before 5pm, you can submit your CPF contributions via CPF EZPay Mobile the next day.

Submitting Your CPF Contributions via CPF EZPay

If your CSN application was successfully submitted before 5pm, you can submit your CPF contributions via CPF EZPay two days later.

Use the CPF EZPay Submission Mode Checker to receive a recommendation on which submission mode may be more suitable for your business.

Note: For UEN-registered entity, please be reminded to perform a one-time setup at Corppass portal before you can login to CPF EZPay.

For individual trading under own name, you would have been assigned as the system administrator when applying for your new CSN.
