Being part of the CPF NextGen programme has been an incredibly fulfilling journey. I have found immense satisfaction in contributing to the public sector and witnessing the tangible impact of my work. The opportunity to directly influence the lives of CPF members through projects like Claims Processing and Pioneer & Merdeka Generation payouts has been truly rewarding.

The unwavering support from my team, including my supervisors and mentor, has been invaluable in providing guidance and fostering numerous opportunities for learning and growth. I also had the opportunity to complete a brief stint in Vietnam and it not only enhanced my technical skills through collaboration with offshore programmers but also exposed me to a different working culture, broadening my perspectives.

The close-knit ties I have formed with my peers in the NextGen programme have been a source of great support, and I am eagerly looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.

Corporate Digital Applications Department

The NextGen programme has provided me with the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse range of projects within a short period, allowing me to gain in-depth knowledge of various systems and exposure to different work scopes encompassing both operations and project implementation.

Within my first two months of onboarding, I had the privilege of engaging with the Board’s leadership team and presenting a proposal to them. This helped set the stage for my role.

Additionally, my involvement in a cluster-level process review committee has provided me with priceless insights into different processes within the Board, complementing my primary duties and broadening my understanding of the organisation as a whole.
