Increase in tax relief income threshold

As announced on 16 February 2024, you can enjoy tax relief on cash top-ups made from 1 January 2024 to your spouse or sibling if your recipient’s annual income does not exceed $8,000, up from $4,000. Learn how you can benefit from the change.

Top up your MediSave Account

If you’re a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, you can top up your MediSave Account.

 

However, if you’re self-employed, please visit the Self-Employed Scheme page.

Use your MediSave funds to pay your MediShield Life/Integrated Shield Plans, ElderShield/CareShield Life and ElderShield/CareShield Life Supplement plan premiums.

Things to note

Things to note when making top-ups to your MediSave Account

Top-up limit

Top-up limit to your MediSave Account and Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS)

For cash top-ups to MediSave Account, the amount is subject to your BHS. Once your BHS has been reached, no further top-ups can be made to your MediSave Account. If you exceed your BHS from the top-up,  your top-up will be fully refunded to you.

You can use our e-Cashier to check the amount of top-ups you can make.

Follow the steps below
  • Key in your NRIC number
  • Select paying as a ‘Member’ and making payment for ‘Contribute to my own/recipient's MediSave  Account(Tax deductible)’
  • Click ‘Next’
  • Read and accept the Terms and Conditions, and click ‘Start’
  • Key in your NRIC number under 'Recipient's NRIC Number'
  • Select 'Self' under 'Recipient's relationship to me'
  • Click ‘Check Allowable Contribution’
  • Log in with your Singpass

You’ll see a message on the amount you can contribute.

Payment

Top up your MediSave Account

Cash top-ups made are irreversible. Once you have decided to top up your MediSave Account, you can do so via the following channels.

Via CPF website

Log in to e-Cashier and pay via PayNow QR.

 

Select paying as a ‘Member’ and making payment for ‘Contribute to my own/recipient's MediSave Account (tax deductible)’.
