Regrettable that TISG re-posted misleading article published more than two years ago

The Independent Singapore (TISG) had recently reposted an old and misleading article which speculated that a 71-year-old elderly man, Mr Lim, was left homeless when he lost his job. This misleading article was first published in March 2019 and reposted by TISG on 5 December 2021. Mr Lim was not homeless either in 2019 or now. Had TISG checked in with the elderly man, they would have found out that he has been living in a rental flat facilitated by the Social Service Office and community partners since 2019.  He receives close to $700 a month in CPF payouts for his living expenses. There are also available CPF MediSave savings that he can withdraw for his healthcare needs.
