The Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS) is the estimated savings you need in your MediSave Account (MA) to cover your basic subsidised healthcare needs in old age and is the maximum amount you can hold in your MA.
For CPF members below age 65, the BHS is adjusted annually to keep pace with rising healthcare consumption. This ensures that the BHS remains relevant when each cohort reaches retirement age.
Once CPF members reach age 65, their BHS is fixed and will remain unchanged for the rest of their lives.

For CPF members who turn age 65 in 2026
The cohort BHS is $79,000 and will remain fixed thereafter.
